If you like John Grisham and Jake Brigance then this latest book in the series will not disappoint。 Lots of emotional pull with the cases and， as a reader， you are torn between what is right and what is law。 Always hard to imagine all the legal drama in the small town of Clanton， but I’d welcome more。

Plenty of twists and turns。 Most of the characters are familiar from previous books featuring Jake Brigance。 Sure， there’s a dose of liberalism I’ve come to expect from Grisham， but the guy is a master storyteller。 Very enjoyable read。

Great story about a teenager that has a rough life。 when in the midst of a domestic violence dispute at home， he shoots and kills his mom’s boyfriend who just happens to be the sheriff’s deputy in a small town。 Lots of twists and turns。 Loved the characters。 Great plot and love how everything is tied up at the end。
